A lumpsum calculator shows what a single, one-time investment in a mutual fund could grow into over time. It is useful when you have a larger amount to put to work at once, such as an annual bonus, maturity proceeds, an inheritance or the sale of an asset.
Enter the amount, how long you plan to stay invested and the annual return you expect. The calculator instantly shows the estimated future value, your invested amount and the potential gain, and lets you switch between a Pie Chart, a Graph and a year-wise Table.
Projections use the return you enter and do not include taxes, expense ratios or exit loads. Treat them as a planning guide and speak to your Satco Wealth relationship manager before you invest.
A lumpsum investment means investing a significant amount in a mutual fund in one transaction, instead of spreading it over regular instalments as in a SIP.
Because the full amount is invested from day one, all of it starts compounding immediately. That also means the entry point matters more, so your time horizon, the type of fund and current market conditions deserve careful thought.
A year-by-year view shows how a single amount grows as returns build on earlier returns.
Change the amount, tenure or expected return and compare outcomes instantly.
Check whether a one-time investment can fund goals such as retirement, education or a home.
Download your projection as a PDF report or an Excel sheet.
Neither is better in every case. A lumpsum suits investors who already have a surplus and a long horizon; a SIP suits those investing from monthly income and spreads purchases across market levels. Many investors combine both, for example by parking a lumpsum in a liquid fund and moving it into equity gradually through an STP.
